Athena After Dark is a weekly talk show that is seen on social media platforms (Face-Book, YouTube,
Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) providing inspiring, positive, and informative subjects within the motorcycling genre
and beyond.
Motorcycling and its culture are very vast topics: add in stories of mayhem from past and present, tips and
techniques for riding and maintenance – GOOD STUFF, RIGHT? Mix in rider features, product review,
community kindness corner, book/magazine/movie reviews plus interviews with motorcycle industry greats,
legendary motorcyclists, all-star athletes, movie, television, and music celebrities who ride and enjoy
motorcycles- that’s a real mix of nuts and bolts right there!
OUR HOST, Athena “Chickie” Ransom is well known in the motorcycle industry as a custom builder in her own
South Florida shop Vagabond Chopper. A proud biker chick, also a 10 plus year member of the Chopper Chick
Crew, Motor Maids, and recently the Antique Motorcycle Club of America. Athena has inspired women and
men riders alike to be the best they can be, through charitable giving and camaraderie in their communities
and on the road of motorcycle life. All of this has earned her a global following in the motorcycle world, and
we are proud to have her as our host.
In an eclectic comfy setting, our lovely host will be wearing, well, her pajamas. We said it, HER PAJAMAS!
Enjoying an evening cup of hot cocoa to relax, Athena will be talking about motorcycling. AAD will be doing an
interview segment, sending the “Guest to Be Interviewed” a nice new snazzy pair of pajamas with hopes that
they will participate in their fun and comfy environment where we share a cool place to reminisce, relate and
celebrate the history and evolution of our great motorcycle culture.
Bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts are different, but they are both where the culture began, and the history all
leads to how we come together in today’s world of diversity in motorcycling. Our goal is to positively share
what biker culture is, from the early on-set and the history that younger people miss out on, to the new ways
of doing things today.
Authentic, knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, cool, and quirky. Athena has the positive spirit we searched
for, to principal and promote this great adventure.
